Intra Uterine Insemination (IUI)

Women are stimulated fertility drugs or injection to enhance the follicular growth for 8 – 10 days. Once the follicles are matured, Trigger injection given for rupture up-follicle. Intrauterine insemination of specially treated sperms are done around the time of ovulation.

Three cycles of Inseminations are suggested. Successful Pregnancy occurs in 15 – 20 % cases.

In Vitro Fertilization - IVF

IVF, In Vitro Fertilization, in this procedure, gametes are handled outside at optimal temperature. Once the embryo is formed, grading of embryos are done. Then two-three good quality embryos are transferred into uterus. For this procedure, ovulation induction done with injections to grow more eggs for 8-12 days. Then mature eggs are aspirated under translabial ultrasound guidance. During stimulation patients are monitored once in 2-3 days with blood estradiol levels and vaginal ultrasound monitored. Immediately after eggs (recovery), male partner will need to give sperm sample. Retreived ocytes are mixed with washed sperm in a special fluid media, which is incubated overnight. Once the embryo formation is confirmed. Day 2 or Day 3 Transfer is done. Luteal phase support with progesterone is advised. Patient has to come for pregnancy check after two weeks.
